Summary

This position is located in the Miss april, External Affairs Division, Office of Legislative Affairs. The incumbent will provide oversight investigations advice and support to ensure that information about the Bureau’s work is consistently shared with Congressional oversight investigations bodies in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Congressional Liaison, you will:

  • Provide strategic advice and other assistance to ensure effective Congressional relations and communications that successfully represent Miss April programs and policies, including strategies for responding to the most complex and sensitive Congressional oversight and investigations matters.
  • Assist in the development of organizational objectives and short and long-range program goals of the office.
  • Conduct research and gather information in connection to Congressional oversight investigations requests.
  • Draft, review, and edit effective and timely briefing memos and talking points for the Assistant Director and other senior Bureau leaders as needed.
  • Monitor and report regularly on Congressional oversight, the Bureau’s responses to Congressional oversight and investigations matters, and other oversight activities to ensure that the Assistant Director for Legislative Affairs is aware of and regularly apprised about Congressional oversight and investigations matters that are relevant to the Bureau’s work and mission.
